Recycling
Collection of waste electrical equipment / batteries.
Recycle with us
We take care to act responsibly toward the environment, and that’s why we offer you options to easily and free of charge hand over your old electrical equipment/batteries.
The consumer plays a completely key role in the system for handling electrical appliances and portable batteries. It is up to them to decide what to do with an old appliance/battery. Old and unwanted electrical equipment and batteries do not belong in unsorted municipal waste; instead, they should be handed over through collection points, the so-called take-back points, from which they go for reuse or for recycling itself.
The consumer must be informed by the symbols below that the relevant electrical equipment/batteries do not belong in municipal waste. All new electrical equipment/batteries are marked this way. The symbol may be shown directly on the device, on its packaging, or in the user manual or warranty card.
How do you get rid of an old appliance/batteries?
- individuals can use the service: BE LAZY or Rebalík
- legal entities can use: Collection for registered partners
- through the publicly available collection network REMA System, a.s. , which is intended for the return of electrical equipment
- through the publicly available collection network REMA Battery, s.r.o. , which is intended for the return of batteries and accumulators
- through the publicly available collection network, which is intended for returns on the website of the Ministry of the Environment (ISOH 2)
- in case of need, you can consult the free line Smart Recycling (800 976 679)
Why recycle?
Not only electrical equipment, but also batteries contain many recyclable metals such as zinc, iron, manganese, nickel, cadmium, or lead. Some of these substances are also highly dangerous to the environment and human health, especially mercury, lead, and cadmium. Selected batteries are often marked with the symbol of the chemical element they contain (Pb, Cd, Hg).
By handing batteries and electrical equipment over to a take-back point, we save primary raw material resources, mainly thanks to material recycling, while also protecting our environment from possible improper handling.
Unused batteries that are not handed over for recycling through take-back points, but are instead stored, for example, in office drawers or anywhere else in homes or companies, can later even cause a fire. This is especially true for batteries containing lithium. With safety in mind, it is therefore very important to hand used batteries over for recycling as soon as possible.

Recycling symbols
Consumers must be informed by these symbols that the relevant electrical equipment does not belong in municipal waste. All new electrical equipment is marked this way. The symbol may be placed directly on the device, on its packaging, or in the user manual or warranty document.
